Top Five Problems That Online Training Solves

1) Scheduling: online personal training gives you more flexibility

One of the challenges we all face is when to do our workouts. When working with a trainer in-person you have to fit in to their schedule and the schedules of all the other people they are training. If someone else is booked into a session time that would suit you, you’re going to struggle to get your appointment in.

Online personal training solves this problem by eliminating the scheduling issue. You do your workouts at times that suit you and you don’t have to fit into my schedule. You’ll still get my feedback on your workout performance as well as my support and guidance regardless of when you train!

2) Location: receive personal training wherever you are!

Don’t live near me? No problem. Don’t want to train in a gym? No problem. Travelling and using a hotel gym? No problem. With Online Personal Training, you can train wherever suits you and your individualised programme will be designed for your desired training location. The online messaging system means I can still help answer your questions and coach you wherever you are. I’m currently training someone in Australia and they are achieving excellent results. Another of my clients has to travel a lot for work, and I’m able to help them no matter where they are! Distance doesn’t have to prohibit great coaching in the modern world.

3) Cost: get more training for less cost.

When you have an in-person workout, you get that one workout on that day with your trainer, but the reality is that you need to be working out more than once per week to get the results you’re looking for. For less than the price of one in person training session per week, online personal training allows me to create every workout you need, review and give feedback on all of them and progress them for you as your fitness improves.

One of my online clients is a shift worker, and trains at work and at home, so I create workouts for both locations to give him flexibility and I review every workout he does. Many of my clients have gone from having one in-person session a week, and sometimes struggling to fit that in, to having two to four workouts a week from me, at a lower cost, and having access to more support and guidance from me throughout the week.

4) Ability to adapt to your needs:

With in-person personal training, there could be a clear 7 days between sessions with your trainer. If problems or challenges come up in between sessions, it’s hard for your trainer to be able to advise you and adapt things for you. With online personal training, when your circumstances change, you can let me know any time, and I can be more reactive to your needs.

For example, when some of my online clients go through busier periods with work, I might provide them with shorter workouts. This helps them to keep their momentum up without overstretching themselves. The feedback to this is always excellent as it helps people retain the sense that they are still achieving at a time when they otherwise may not have. I’m also there to help my clients manage their expectations about what is achievable when life gets a bit crazy!

5) Accountability:

Imagine how much more motivated you’ll be to get your workouts done if you know that your trainer will be able to see if you don’t do them! When training online, I can see what you have and haven’t done, so if you’re having challenges, I can recognise this earlier and get in touch to help you get back on track. It’s a two way process where I’ll work with you to help you rather than dictate to you. This leads to faster results for you and a greater sense of achievement.

My in-person clients who transitioned over to online training, found that they ended up exercising more consistently, which helped them achieve faster results and enjoy the process.
